Non-Profit
Mission drives the non-profit organization. To achieve its mission, however, a strong non-profit
must also have a well-aligned, highly functioning organizational culture. Simply put, the more dollars and time
spent on management, employee and productivity issues, the less spent on mission-based activities.
In Good to Great for the Social Sectors, renowned author Jim Collins states that due to
financial constraints, well-aligned leadership is even more necessary in the non-profit sector than the
for-profit sector. Collins also cautions non-profits that a "lack of resources is no excuse for lack of rigor"
in the hiring process. "It makes selectivity all the more vital," he claims.
KeyStone Search understands how important it is to "get the right people on the bus" in a
non-profit organization. And, we have done just that for many of the best known non-profits in the Midwest.
Our experience includes extensive work with non-profit boards and selection committees in order to identify
and hire uniquely talented top executives.
